I have always favored drawing mechanical devices with smooth straight lines. I've never felt comfortable in drawing people or animals. So I experimented a bit with drawing organics. We find Dr. Zira as a chimpanzee psychologist and veterinarian. Kim Hunter played this major character in the first three movies of the Planet of the Apes. The hardest part is to capture the intelligence and the nuances of the character while in costume.
